GST Rate is the combination of four components - IGST Rate, CGST Rate, SGST Rate and Compensation Cess Rate. This article describes how to manage GST Rate.

titleAdd GST Rate

Pre-requisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the GST Rate feature by enabling Add app operation for the feature in Admin - Security - User - Role through Inventory - Product Definition - Tax Definition.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web > Inventory > Product Definition > Tax Definition > GST Rate. 
  2. Goods & Service Tax Rate Master window opens.
  3. Click on Add button.
  4. Add Goods & Service Tax Rate Master window opens
  5. Put in the Tax Name (mandatory field) and Remarks.

  6. Now put in the Tax Rate Details (Every fields are mandatory): 
    1. Integrated GST (IGST) Rate
    2. Central GST Rate
    3. State / Union Territory GST (SGST / UTGST) Rate
    4. Compensation Cess Rate

      Info

      Condition for Add GST Rate:

      • IGST Rate, CGST Rate, UGST/UTGST Rate, Compensation Cess Rate can not be blank or zero(0).
      • IGST Rate should be equal to the sum of CGST Rate and SGST / UTGST Rate.


  7. Click on the Save button.

  8.  You will get a message - "Record Save Successfully"

Pre-requisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the GST Rate feature by enabling Modify app operation for the feature in Admin - Security - User - Role through Inventory - Product Definition - Tax Definition.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web> Inventory> Product Defination>Tax Defination>GST Rate. 
  2. Goods & Service Tax Rate Master window opens.
  3. Select any existing Tax Name to edit or double click on Tax Name.
  4. Click on Action (menu) > Edit.
  5. Edit Goods & Service Tax Rate Master window will open.
  6. Now you can edit all the fields as per your requirment.
  7. Click on the Save button.
  8.  You will get a message - "Record Save Successfully" 
  9. you can also extinct the selected Tax by selecting the This record is extinct. If you extinct a record, you will not able to use this record for further use.
