This article describes the process of update Cube Manager through HO Auto Update. 

After Completion of OLAP Database configuration, you need to update OLAP Database after completing the update of Database and Software. In the Tool tab you will get Update OLAP Database button.

On Ginesys Application update: Update Read database version.

1. At first you need to update Ginesys HO. How To: Update Ginesys HO using Auto Update will describes the HO Update process.

If the Cube Refresh is in progress, then it will not update the Cube manager and displays a message - "Cube refresh is in progress, unable to update."

If the Cube Refresh is not in progress, then it will update MISRETAIL (Write) database as required.

Tip
The OLAP Database or Report Data Store (Write) database is called MISRetail

It will also update Ginesys application changes if any are available.
Close the Auto Updater.
If the Cube Manager update is failed during the update process of Ginesys application, new function button 'Update OLAP Database' that has been added to Auto Updater > Tools tab will be enabled
2. If you have rights to setup Cube Manager., then How To: Configure Cube Manager will describes the Cube Manager Setup process. 
   After Setup of Cube Manager, you need to Configure Cube Manager. How To: Configure Cube Manager will describes the configuration process of Cube Manager. 
   
After configuration, when you will update cube manager, following scenario may arise.
The Auto Updater checks for Write database connection details.If it cannot connect to the Write database during update for any reason, it will skip the update of Cube Manager. The Ginesys application changes, if any, will be updated. After completing the application update, it will display a message – “Version update for cube manager is not done, due to non-availability of cube server. Please update before checking any cube reports.”
If Auto Updater can connect the Write database, then it will check, if the Cube Refresh process is on -
3. . If you do not have rights to setup, you will get a message that you do not have right to Setup. Then you need to set the privilege through Admin profile.  
   
   
4. Now update OLAP Database by clicking on Update OLAP Database button.
   
   1. If you click on the Update OLAP Database button, OLAP Database version will be checked by the system.
      
      
      1. If the version is found to match, the following message will be displayed - “Cube Manager is already updated till latest available version.”
         
         
      2. If the version does not match (For first time update), it will check the connection for Write database - 
         1. If it cannot connect Write database, the Cube Manager update will be skipped and "Version update for cube manager is not done, due to non-availability of cube server. Please update before check any cube reports." – message will be displayed. It will return to the Auto Updater. 
            
            
         2. If Auto Updater can connect the Write database, then
it will check if the Cube Refresh process is in progress.If the Cube Refresh is in process:It will not update the cube manager and displays a message - "Cube refresh is in progress, unable to update."If no cubes are being refreshed - Last
5. 1. 1. 1. the OLAP Database will updated. Last available "OLAP Version" will be displayed
.
6. MISRETAIL Database will be updated with the patch update as required.
7. If the multiple releases with OLAP related updates are found, all the changes will be reflected within a single round of update.
Close Auto Updater.
