Condition for Add GST Rate:

  • IGST Rate, CGST Rate, UGST/UTGST Rate, Compensation Cess Rate can not be blank or zero(0).
  • IGST Rate should be equal to the sum of CGST Rate and SGST / UTGST Rate

  • Central GST (CGST) Rate
  • State / Union Territories (SGST / UTGST) Rate
  • Compensation Cess Rate

  • Click on the Save button.

  • Record saved successfully. - message will be displayed on the screen.

  • Click on the Save button.
     You will get a message - "Record Save Successfully"  Close button to close the window. A confirmation window appears with the message - Discard changes? If you want to go back to the Goods & Service Tax Rate Master module, then click Yes, otherwise click No.

    2. You must know the Integrated GST (IGST) RateCentral GST (CGST) Rate, State / Union Territories (SGST / UTGST) Rate and Compensation Cess Rate as decided by the Government.

    The steps are as follows:

    1. Go to Ginesys Web > - Inventory > - Product Definition > Tax Definition >  - GST Rate. 
      This will open the Goods & Service Tax Rate Master window opensMaster module.

    2. Click on the Add button.
      Add Goods & Service Tax Rate Master window opens.
      Put in the Tax Name (mandatory field) and Remarks.
      Now put in the Tax Rate Details (Every fields are mandatory): This opens the Add window.

    3. In the General section, provide a name for the new tax in the Tax Name field. Also, enter remarks in the Remarks field.

      The Tax Name field is a mandatory field.


    4. In the Tax Rate Details section, fill in all the fields. They are:
      1. Integrated GST (IGST) Rate

        This is the summation of Central GST

        Rate

        (CGST) Rate and State / Union

        Territory GST

        Territories (SGST / UTGST) Rate

        Compensation Cess Rate

    Prerequisites

    1. The users' role must have access to the Modify app operation in the GST Rate feature in Inventory - Product Definition - Tax Definition through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.

    Step-by-step guide

    The steps are as follows: 

    1. Go to Ginesys Web> Inventory> Product Defination>Tax Defination>GST Web - Inventory - Product Definition - Tax Definition - GST Rate. 
      This will open the Goods & Service Tax Rate Master window opens.
      Select any existing Tax Name to edit or double click on Tax Name.
      Click on Action (menu) > Edit.
      Edit Goods & Service Tax Rate Master window will open.
      Now you can edit all the fields as per your requirment.
      Click on the Save button.
       You will get a message - "Record Save Successfully" 
      you  module.
    2. Double click on the record or click on the Edit option (from the Actions menu). This opens the Edit Conversion Type window.

    3. All fields are editable but it should be kept in mind that Integrated GST (IGST) RateCentral GST (CGST) Rate and State / Union Territories (SGST / UTGST) Rate are related. In order to change one, you must manipulate the others.

        Before modification: Integrated GST (IGST) Rate is 12%, Central GST (CGST) Rate is 6% and State / Union Territories (SGST / UTGST) Rate is 6%.

        Now, to change Integrated GST (IGST) Rate, you have to change both Central GST (CGST) Rate and State / Union Territories (SGST / UTGST) Rate. Only then will the system allow you to modify the Integrated GST (IGST) Rate.





    4. Click on the Save button.
    5. Record saved successfully. - message will be displayed on the screen.
    6. You can also extinct the selected Tax by selecting the This record is extinct. If you extinct a record, you will not able to use this record for further use.
