1. Organisation Site:
Organisation owned site Owned Site are sites which belong to and are owned by the organisation directly and are obviously managed through Ginesys. It is generally corporate office or zonal office of an Organization. It is defined at the following software location - Admin > Organization > Hierarchy > Organization Site. It may be recognized by the fact, that Ginesys HO modules (Desktop and/or Web) are running on it and if the organization uses the Ginesys Finance module then it will be running at the organization site. Business to Business (B2B) transaction is possible in the Organization Site.
2. Managed v/s Unmanaged Site:
The major difference, between the Managed and Unmanaged sites, is that in case of managed sites Ginesys POS will be running at the store. In case of unmanaged sites, however, any other software can be used in the store. In other words, in case of managed site, it is controlled by Ginesys and in case of unmanaged sites, there is no link with Ginesys.
Managed Site are the store or outlet of an organization where the Ginesys POS runs. In every Managed Site all the transactions and operations are controlled by Ginesys. Managed Sites (POS) may be both Organization Owned or Customer Owned.
Example: Single brand or multi brand outlet.

3. Unmanaged Site:
Unmanaged Site are the store or outlet where the Ginesys POS does not run. Selling and buying processes are maintained by any other software but the transactions and behavior are controlled by the organization. Unmanaged Sites are by default Customer Owned.
Example: : Franchisee, Multi Brand Outlet.

There are seven types of sites existing physically based on the combination of above site types: - Organization Site - Organization Owned - Consignment Mode (OS-OO-CM): This is an Organization Owned site which is fully managed by Ginesys. The Organization have full control over all the transactions and Operations.
- Managed Site - Organization Owned - Consignment Mode (MS-OO-CM): This is the store or outlet of the organization where Ginesys POS runs. The Organization have full control over all the transactions and Operations of the site.
- Managed Site - Customer Owned - Consignment Mode (MS-CO-CM): This is the store or outlet owned by the customer (One person or group of people) where the business runs with the product of the particular organization. Ginesys POS runs in such site and the Organization have full control over all the transactions and Operations of the site.
- Managed Site - Customer Owned - Outright Mode (MS-CO-OM): This is the store or outlet owned by the customer (One person or group of people) where the business runs with the product of the particular organization. Ginesys POS runs in such site but the Organization does not have control over the transactions and Operations of the site.
- Managed Site - Customer Owned - Outright Mode (MS-CO-OM-TS): This is the store or outlet owned by the customer (One person or group of people) where the business runs with the product of the particular organization. Ginesys POS runs in such site but the Organization does not have control over the transactions and Operations of the site.
- Unmanaged Site - Customer Owned - Consignment Mode (US-CO-CM): This is the store or outlet owned by the customer (One person or group of people) where the business runs with the product of the particular organization. Ginesys does not runs in such sites. Selling and buying processes are maintained by any other software but all the transactions and behavior are controlled by the organization.
