Is there any impact on using Ginesys in absence of Administrative rights?

You may not use some modules mainly related to administration, but that won’t impact your day to day operations. Following are the modules which may not work without Administrative access.

Backup:

In Ginesys Cloud Hosting, the entire system is backed up everyday. So regular backup is not essential.

System Manager:

This utility is used to alter administrative parameters and manage Ginesys services. In day to day operations, System Manager is not being used much. Any time users raise a request for any occasional help on service management. Another fuctionality of this utility is to manage Ginesys services. Now users can operate Ginesys services from Windows Service manager (services.msc).DataExchange:The DataExchange module is usually used by Retail organizations for running manual data synchronization among POS sites and accessing a dashboard to view DataExchange records. For cloud hosted systems. manual synchronization is not at all required as the auto-synchronization is enabled with very less interval of 5 minutes. Moreover, the DataExchange dashboard is also available on Ginesys Web. You can easily monitor DataExchange not even logging into the serverThere are some Ginesys utilities which need to be run with elevated privilege (Run as administrator). Generally in on-premise deployment where you will be taking care of system administration, the Windows administrative rights are with you. So, using those Ginesys utilities won’t have any restriction. But in cloud deployment we have to hold the administrative privilege at our end and as a result the Ginesys utilities requiring administrative access won’t run straight forward. But we have ensured that this limitation shouldn’t hinder any of your operation.

The utilities which requires administrative accesses are Database Locator, Database Backup, System Manager, Database Manager, Data Sync, Auto Update and Web DB Updater. Generally, these utilities which require administrative access are not frequently required utilities in a cloud deployment. Moreover the utilities have sensitive configuration for Ginesys and not likely to be accessible by every user. We understand, though the requirement will be less frequent, your application administrator may require access of those.

So, we have arranged the access for all the utilities to one of Windows login we supply for your use. We recommend to keep that Windows login with the person who administrate the ERP.

What we do if we feel slowness in accessing Ginesys or working on the Cloud system?
