Site in terms of Ginesys is an entity which carries out various operations of the business from purchasing to point of sale. Like for example a company manufactures shirt and directly sale to the customers as well as has give franchisee for sale, in such a case, it will first create a Organization Unit for manufacturing (by default one organization unit gets created on installation of Ginesys and need not create another for manufacturing). For sale it will create a retail managed consignment site and for franchisee, it can create a customer site.
Managed v/s Unmanaged Site
The major difference, between the Managed and Unmanaged sites, is that in case of managed sites Ginesys POS will be running at the store. In case of unmanaged sites, however, any other software can be used in the store. In other words, in case of managed site, it is controlled by Ginesys and in case of unmanaged sites, there is no link with Ginesys.
Organization Site
Organization owned site are sites which belong to the organization directly and are obviously managed through Ginesys.

OS (Organization Sites) belong to the corporate organization using Ginesys. Organization Site can be retail store or wholesale store where customers can buy items or warehouse or office buildings. Multiple Organization Sites may belong to same Organization Unit. The article describes how to manage Organization Site.

Points to be notedMax 25 UDFs can be configured for the module, i.e. 15 for alphanumeric type data, 5 for numeric data and 5 for date type of data. Configured UDFs will be applicable for all type of Sites, i.e. Organization Site, Managed Site, Unmanaged Site. All fields defined will get displayed and validated as per configuration. Configured UDFs will be displayed in the list view of the Sites. Configured UDF values will be applicable during import through Managed Site Import, Unmanaged Site Import.
