Ginesys Version 11.145.6 carries with it the updated version of Cube Manager. Users may enjoy all the features of the Cube Manager by updating to this Ginesys version. This article relates to updating 11.145.6 along with Cube Manager.

Important Note: Ginesys HO Auto Update will now reflect the OLAP Version, along with Database and Software Version, will be displayed at the bottom of the Auto Update.


Tip: You can see a progress bar <> in the Auto Updater after any modification in OLAP Database. 

After completion of OLAP Database configuration, you need to update OLAP Database after completing the update of Database and Software. In the Tool tab you will get Update OLAP Database button.

  1. The new version of Auto Updater will have to be downloaded before update of version 11.145.6.

  2. Update Ginesys HO and the following message is seen -"Error occurred while synchronizing OLAP Write Database Schema with Application Database. OLAP Write Database connection is not available. Skipping OLAP Schema Sync Process". 
    1. If you update till the latest available version (i.e. 11.145.x) you will need to Configure Cube Manager.
    2. If you update to any version below 11.145.x - you can just close the Auto Updater and restart your services and your software.
  3. The user can setup Cube Manager, only when he has the app operation privileges to do so. Otherwise the Ginesys Admin in your organization provides privileges of Setup app operation for Cube Manager to the currently logged in user or a person with the proper privileges needs to open the Setup and configure the same.

  4. If the Cube Manager is being setup for the first time the list view will appear now ready to start working.

  5. For an existing user of OLAP Database, the OLAP Schema Sync process has to be completed by clicking on Update OLAP Database button, in the Tools tab of the HO Auto Updater.

    1. Click on the Update OLAP Database button, OLAP Database version will be checked by the system.

      1. If the version is found to match, the following message will be displayed - “Cube Manager is already updated till latest available version.”

      2. If the version does not match , it will check the connection for Report Data Store (Write Database) - 
        1. If it cannot connect Report Data Store (Write Database), 
          1. The Cube Manager update will be skipped and "Version update for cube manager is not done, due to non-availability of cube server. Please update before check any cube reports." – message will be displayed.
          2. It will return to the Auto Updater. 
          3. Close the Auto Updater window.

        2. If Auto Updater can connect the Report Data Store (Write Database), then the OLAP Database will updated. Last available "OLAP Version" will be displayed.

  6. If you get any error at the time of Cube Refresh for existing Custom Logic, please log a ticket with the https://care.ginesys.in/ .
