The HO users and their roles are created and managed in Admin module at the HO level. This article shows how to add, edit and delete HO Users in Ginesys HO.
Add Users
Prerequisites
- The Admin users' role must have access to the Add app operation in the User feature in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security - User - Users through Admin - Security - User - Roles.
- The Roles must be created.
Step-by-step guide
The following steps are to be executed:
Go to Admin - Security - User - Users.
Users module opens.
Click on Add button.
User window will open.
- You will get two sections - User Information and Tag Site.
User Information: Put in the User No., Name, Login Name, Password, Menu Role,Profile (all these are mandatory fields). There are other fields like Report Role, Profile etc. The
Lock Days
assigned to each Ginesys user can be seen from the list view of the User master, without opening each record individually. The privilege to Ignore lock days on last date of any open accounting year (only for financial documents) can be assigned through a check box (placed at the end of User Information section) during Add / Modify of Users.
If you select the Is API User, the API Key will be generated by clicking on the Generate Key button.
- Tag Site:
- Select the Sites which the user can access from Available Site section.
Click on the right arrow to shift the selected site to the Assigned Site section.
- Click on the Save & Close button to save the new user.
Edit / Modify Users
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Modify app operation in the User feature in Admin - Security - User - Role through Admin - Security - User - Roles.
Step-by-step guide
The following steps are to be executed:
Go to Admin - Security - User - Users.
Users module opens.
- Double click on the user you want to modify.
- User window will open populating all the records.
You cannot modify the User No.
- Modify the records as per your requirement.
- Click on the Save & Close button to save the modifies data.
Delete Users
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Delete app operation in the User feature in Admin - Security - User - Role through Admin - Security - User - Roles.
Step-by-step guide
The following steps are to be executed:
Go to Admin - Security - User - Users.
Users module opens.
- Select one user you want to delete.
- Go to Action > Delete.
- "Are you sure you want to delete current Record?" - this message will be displayed.
If you click on Yes, then the role will be deleted permanently and you will get a message - "Record deleted successfully".
To go back to the main page click on Managing ERP User in Ginesys Web
