Adding & Editing Credit Rating

What is Credit Rating?

Credit rating is an analysis of the credit risks associated with a commercial entity. It is a rating given to a particular entity based on the past transactional credentials  of the company. In GINESYS, it is a management reporting tool - a feature, which if implemented, can list the customers depending on the rating. It can be taken as grouping or gradation of the customers.

Note : This is not a mandatory feature to be used to make transactions in S&D Module

What is the purpose of this form?

The Credit Rating master is required to rate a particular customer on his goodwill. Any parameters can be set against according to the User’s choice, like, gradation, percentage etc. The two column Credit Rating master lists the Rating and their description. It also has a checkbox to make a redundant rating extinct. The ratings will always be sorted in the ascending order of rating.

 Add Credit Rating

The buttons will be enabled only if the user has the proper privileges through the user profile.

This button will open a Add Credit Rating window; where a unique credit rating Name may be added along with its Description and saved to the master list.


 Edit Credit Rating

Edit operation is available under the Action menu. It will be enabled only for users with proper privileges.

The user has to select a record and then click on Edit. It opens the same window as Add Credit Rating.

Both Rating and Description can be modified by the user. Although a rating once created cannot be deleted, a rating can be made Extinct using the checkbox provided in the edit window.
