23621 Ginesys switches to managed ODAC system component

Enhancement Summary:

ODAC (Oracle Data Access Components) is a system component which is required to access the Oracle database from different modules of Ginesys. ODAC is released and managed by Oracle Corporation. [More information about ODAC can be found here.] Till date Ginesys was using a version of ODAC that required installation in the server. Occasionally, multiple versions of ODAC installed in the same application server caused data access problems in the application, causing disruption of business.

Now, Ginesys is switching to a version of ODAC (also released by Oracle Corporation), called Managed Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC),  which does not require installation and it is deployed as a single file (Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.dll). This file is copied into the \Shared location of the application.

Please note that to use this version of ODAC, no action is required from the user. Ginesys HO will automatically start using this version of ODAC, released in Auto Update patch 11.132.0.

26561 SMS Notification in Ginesys HO has been enhanced

Ginesys Launchpad - SMS Notification

Enhancement Summary:

Earlier SMS Notification in HO was run from a Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) platform. But now it will run on Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) platform like POS SMS. It has got a more intuitive  and user- friendly user interface, leading to better performance. After updating version 11.132.0, the previous process will have no interruption. It will run as per previous setup.

Now, if the user wants to switch over to (HTTP) platform, will be managed from Ginesys Team.
