Adding, Editing, Deleting, Releasing & Printing Production in Inventory

When retailers need to produced some products without having the Production Module, then the Production Module of the Inventory is required. 

This article describes the process of manage Production in Inventory of Ginesys Web.  

 Add Production
  1. Prerequisites

    1. The users' role must have access to the Add app operation in the Production feature in Inventory - Operations - Conversion  through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
    2. Process must be created. 
    3. Jobber must be created. 

    Step-by-step guide

    The steps are as follows:

    1. Go to Ginesys Web > Inventory > Operations > Conversion > Production.
    2. Production module will open. 
    3. Previously created Production will be listed.
    4. Click on the Add button. 
    5. Production window will open.
    6. You will get group of icons at the top right corner of the window.


    1. The icons name from left to right are - Expand All, Collapse All, Print Document Report, Attachments, Clear Form and Open Side Panel.
      1. Expand All: Clicking on this icon, all the sections will be Expand if they are collapsed.
      2. Collapse All: Clicking on this icon, all the sections will be Closed if they are expanded.
      3. Print Document Report: Clicking on the Down Arrow beside this icon, you will get Print Preference option with already created Report File Template. This option is used to print document.
      4. Attachments: You can Upload some required documents from this option.
      5. Clear Form: Clicking on this icon, you can Clear all the data already entered. 
        1. Open Side Panel: Clicking on this, you will get the details of the current Delivery Challan as follows:
          1. Document Summary:  In this section you will get the details of Selected Items, Sale Type, Owner Site, Modified by etc. 
          2. Vendor Details: You will get the Selected Customer Details like Address, Contact Details, Tax Region, Credit Limit, Overdue Amount etc. 
          3. Vendor Statistic: This section describes the Received not Invoiced amount, Outstanding Amount, Last Invoice Date etc. 
  2. You will get four sections in the Production main form - General, Item Details, User Defined Fields and Others.
  3. General:
    1. Select the Owner Site (Mandatory Field) for which you want to create the Purchase Invoice.
    2. Select a Production No. (Mandatory Field) which is already created.
    3. Select the Process Name (Mandatory Field) from the drop down list.
    4. Select the Jobber Name (Mandatory Field) from the drop down list.
    5. According to the selected Jobber Name, the In Stock Point and Out Stock Point will be populated.
    6. System Date will be populated in the Date field (Mandatory Field).
    7. You can also put in the Reference No.
  4. Item Details: You will get two sub-sections under Item Details - Consumption and Production.
    1. Consumption: Raw material can be issued from this tab.

      1. You need to add items for consumption by using Search Item, Scan Item, Import Barcode and Select Stock Transfer Items. 
        1. Search Item: This process will search the items from the Item Master according to the search criteria. 
        2. Scan Item: You can directly Scan the Barcode to add items.
        3. Import Barcode: The Import Barcode feature allows to populate items using the .csv or .txt files.
        4. Select Stock Transfer Items: 
          1. Stock Point Transfer Items window will open by clicking on Select Stock Transfer Items.
          2. Select the Transfer No. from the list.
          3. The item(s)/Raw Material present in the Transfer No., will be populated.
      2. Selected items/raw material will be populated with Barcode, Item Description, Issue Rate, Issue Qty. etc.  
      3. If you click on the  button left side of the populated item, you will get a drop down list. 
      4. You will get Delete Record and View Properties.
        1. Delete Record: You can delete the populated item from the list as per your requirement.
        2. View Properties: You can check the item details by clicking on this option. It will open the Item Master window but you cannot edit any details. 
    2. Production: Finished can be received from this tab.

      1. You need to add items in the GRC by using Create ItemSearch Item, Scan Item and Import Barcode.
        1. Create Item: You can create new item from this option. 
        2. Search Item: This process will search the items from the Item Master according to the search criteria. 
        3. Scan Item: You can directly Scan the Barcode to add items.
        4. Import Barcode: The Import Barcode feature allows to populate items using the .csv or .txt files.
      2. Selected items details will be populated with Barcode, Item Description, Quantity, Service Rate, Service Amount etc.  
      3. If you click on the  button left side of the populated item, you will get a drop down list. 
      4. You will get Delete RecordItem Charge and View Properties.
        1. Delete Record: You can delete the populated item from the list as per your requirement.
        2. Item Charge: The charges applied on the particular item will be displayed by clicking on this option. However, you may change the factors of the charges applied based on the settings in your user profile. 
        3. View Properties: You can check the item details by clicking on this option. It will open the Item Master window but you cannot edit any details. 

  5. Others: You can put in the Remarks.
  6. Click on the Save button to save Production. You will get a message - "Document <Production No.> saved successfully."
 Edit Production

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Edit app operation in the Production feature in Inventory - Operations - Conversion  through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
  2. Production must be created.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web > Inventory > Operations > Conversion > Production.
  2. Production module will open. 

  3. Previously created Production will be listed.
  4. Select the Production you want to edit.
  5. You can use Filter to search particular Production.

    Note: If you select multiple Production, you will get the Edit option disabled. You cannot edit multiple Production at a time.

  6. Edit: Production window will open. 
  7. All the details will be populated.
  8. You will two new icons at the top right corner of the window - Delete and Release.

    1. Delete: You can Delete the Production from the Edit Mode by clicking on this icon.
    2. Release: You can Release the Production from the Edit Mode by clicking on this icon.
  9. You can modify Process Name, Jobber Name, Consumption, Production
  10. Click on the Save button to save the modified Production. 
  11. You will get a message - "Document <Production No.> saved successfully."
 Delete Production

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Delete app operation in the Production feature in Inventory - Operations - Conversion  through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
  2. Production must be created.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web > Inventory > Operations > Conversion > Production.
  2. Production module will open. 
  3. Previously created Production will be listed.
  4. Select the Production you want to edit.
  5. You can use Filter to search particular Production.
  6. Go to Acton > Delete
  7. You will get a message - "Document once deleted cannot be retrieved. Do you want to delete this document?"
  8. If you click on Yes, you will get a confirmation message "<Production No:> - Successfully deleted".

 Release Production

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Release app operation in the Production feature in Inventory - Operations - Conversion  through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
  2. Production must be created.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web > Inventory > Operations > Conversion > Production.
  2. Production module will open. 
  3. Previously created Production will be listed.
  4. Select the Production you want to edit.
  5. You can use Filter to search particular Production.
  6. Go to Acton > Release
  7. You will get a message - "Document(s) once released cannot be modified. Do you want to proceed?"
  8. If you click on Yes, you will get a confirmation message "<Production No:> - Successfully released".

 Print Production

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Print app operation in the Production feature in Inventory - Operations - Conversion  through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
  2. Production must be created.
  3. Printer must be connected to the device.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web > Inventory > Operations > Conversion > Production.
  2. Production module will open. 
  3. Previously created Production will be listed.
  4. Select the Production you want to edit.
  5. You can use Filter to search particular Production.
  6. Go to Action > Print.
  7. You will get previously created template.
  8. Click on the required template to print.
  9. A new window will open.

    Note: You can print using Print Preference.
