SYMPTOMS

An error message appears on screen while opening Ginesys Launchpad after fresh installation of HO server or Ginesys HO Application re-configuration.

Error occurred. ReasonCould not load file or assembly 'Oracle.DataAccess, Version=2.121.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

CAUSE:

This is a known issue and observed multiple times, if Oracle is installed before Ginesys application then only ODAC64 bit installed by default during Oracle installation. Post that during Ginesys installation, ODAC32 bit is not installed with it.

RESOLUTION:

  1. To prevent this kind of issue, install Ginesys application before Oracle installation. In this scenario, ODAC64 and ODAC32 bit will be installed with Ginesys Application.

  2. If you have already installed Oracle before Ginesys application then ODAC32 bit needs to be installed manually later.
