How To: Uninstall ODAC (Oracle Data Access Components)
There are many instances, wherein the ODAC would have to be uninstalled so that it could be reinstalled once again. This article would take you through the process of uninstalling ODAC in your system.
Step-by-step guide

Note: It is necessary to know what system type is windows running on.
PRE-REQUISITES
Follow the steps below to know the running windows system type:
- Click the Start button.
- Right click Computer, select Properties.
- The Properties window opens up.
- Under System check out the System Type. It would either be a 32-bit operating system or a 64-bit operating system.
32-bit Operating System
- Run the Universal Installer.
- In the Universal Installer window, click the Deinstall Products button.
- The list of installed products appears, check all the files and click the Remove button. This will uninstall all the components.
64-bit Operating System
- Open Command Prompt, remember to run it as Administrator.
- Locate the folder where ODAC has been installed (E.g.: c:\ODAC64).
- Once the cursor changes, run the command c:\ODAC64 uninstall.bat all odac
Note: 'odac' over here is the home name, the same name used while installing ODAC). This uninstalls all the components.
Please remember that the name of the folder where the .bat folder would be installed should be named "ODAC64" for 64bit systems.
