Adding & Editing the Route Group Master

Route Group is a collection of Routes creation of various items. Route Group master allows the tagging of the item to the particular route for its creation.

This article describes how to manage Route Group Master in Ginesys HO.


 Add Route Group

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Route Group feature by enabling Add app operation for the feature in Admin - Security - User - Role through Production - Setup - Manage.
  2. Routes must be created.
  3. Jobbers must be created.
  4. Items must present in the Item master.

Step-by-step guide

The following steps are common to all operations of the feature:

  1. Go to Production > Setup > Manage > Route Group.
  2. Route Group window opens.
  3. Click on Add button.
  4. Add Route Group window opens.
  5. You will get three sections - Information, Item Details & Route Details.
  6. Information:

    1. Put in the Route Group Name (mandatory field) and select the First Process Jobber from the drop down list.

      Note: The routes selected, while creating a Route Group, must have the same common jobber for the first process of each selected route; usually this happens when the first process is done in-house.

  7. Item Details:

    1. Fill the Item Details.
    2. Select the items by Select Item, Scan Item or Import Barcode.
    3. The item(s) will be populated with other related details.
  8. Route Details:

    1. Fill the Route Detail for particular item.
      1. Select an item from Item Detail area.
      2. Click on Add Row button to add a new row in Route Details area.
      3. Put in the Effective Date and the Route Name for the selected item.
      4. You add more than one route for one item.

        Note: When you will add route details one by one, the second route detail will be added in the top row and after saving the details those details will come addition sequence wise from the top.

  9. Click on Save button to save the record.
  10. You will get a message “Generated Successfully”.

Note: You have to fill up the Route Details for a particular item. Otherwise you will get a error mark beside that item - "There is no record in Route Detail" and in time of saving you will get message - "There are some errors in the grid." 

 Edit Route Group

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Route Group feature by enabling Modify app operation for the feature in Admin - Security - User - Role through Production - Setup - Manage.
  2. Route Group Master must exist. 

Step-by-step guide

The following steps are common to all operations of the feature:

  1. Go to Production > Setup > Manage > Route Group.
  2. Route Group window opens.
  3. Select the Route Group which you want to Edit.
  4. Click on Action > Edit.
  5. Edit Route Group window opens.

    Note: The items of the route group will not be populated in the item details section (from Version 11.140.2 onward).

  6. If you want to modify items, click on the Select Item button and select the particular items for the route group. 
  7. If the Route Details is already provided for the selected items, then that will be provided in the Route Detail section. Otherwise you have to fill up the route details. 
  8. Click on the Save button to save the changes.
  9. You will get a message “Record Modified Successfully”.

    Note: You have to fill up the Route Details for a particular item. Otherwise you will get a error mark beside that item - "There is no record in Route Detail" and in time of saving you will get message - "There are some errors in the grid." 


 Export to Excel
  1. Click on Action > Export to Excel.

  2. An excel file, containing the details of the Route Group, will be downloaded and you will get a message “Excel Exported Successfully”.
