  1. If required, you can also type the product barcode in the Scan bar and press Enter to add the product to cart.

By default, weight input, price selection, batch/serial selection popups will appear on screen whenever a barcode is scanned. We recommend the use of delimiters with barcodes, and then setup webPOS settings accordingly for a more seamless scan experience, wherever applicable.

Add Products using Catalog

You can also add products using the Product Catalog that lets you browse multiple products and categories at a glance. This is ideal if your business has a focused variety of products: Limited SKUs.

To add products using the catalog:

  1. Tap on the Catalog button on the top-right of the Cart page to open the Catalog.

  2. Here you can see primary categories on the left side, and the products within the selected category. Simply tap on the listing of any product to add them to the cart.

  3. Use the Hide Catalog button once done to reveal the billing options panel.

Browse Catalog using Category Overview

Follow these steps to navigate using product categories:

  1. Tap on the All Categories button inside the Catalog window to open the category overview.

  1. Here you will be able to see all the first level categories. Tap on any category to view all of its products, or view all of its sub-categories if available.

  1. Tap on the back icon ((blue star)) to go up one level, or tap the All Products button on the top-right to reset the Catalog to the default view.

If your product catalog is being synced locally on device, we recommend refreshing the catalog before you start your daily billing. To do so simply tap the Refresh button on the top-right.

Add Products with Weight

If a product has a weight unit of measurement, you will have to enter the respective value in the popup before you can add such product to cart.

If the same product is added again via scan, search or catalog you can use the toggle switched to Add Quantity to add the entered weight to the existing product weight in cart, or switch the toggle to Edit Cart Quantity to replace existing product weight with the entered weight.

Tip

Pro tip: If your weighing scale has label printing capabilities you can utilise PLU codes along with a delimiter to directly scan product weight.
