Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to

  1.  app operation in the Bin Assortment feature in Inventory - WMS - Setup through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web - Inventory - WMS - Setup - Bin Assortment. This will open the Bin Assortment module.

  2. Click on the Add button. This will open the Add Bin Assortment window.

  3. Put in Assortment Name (Mandatory Field) and Description.

  4. You can include and exclude assortment if items from Copy Assortment.

  5. Show Items  will show all the items from Item list.

  6. Select items using the three available options: They are - Select Item, Scan Item, Import Barcode, Copy Record options for Include Assortment & Exclude Assortment both.

  7. You can add a Row from Add Row and delete all the records from Delete All option.

  1. Once done, click on Save button.

  2.  Record saved successfully. - message will be displayed on the screen.

title Edit Bin Assortment

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Edit app operation in the Bin Assortment feature in  Inventory - WMS - Setup through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.

  2. Bin Assortment must be created.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to Ginesys Web - Inventory - WMS - Setup - Bin Assortment. This will open the Bin Assortment module.

  2. Select one and click on the Edit option (from the Actions menu) or double click on the record. The Edit Assortment window opens.

  3. Here you can modify the all the fields if needed.

  4. If the record became extinct record then you can mark that by the This record is extinct option which is at the bottom left of the window.

  5. Once done, click on the Save button.

  6. Record saved successfully. - message will be displayed.

  1. The users' role must have access to the Delete app operation in the Bin Assortment feature in  Inventory - WMS - Setup through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.

  2. Bin Assortment must be created.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to Ginesys Web - Inventory - WMS - Setup - Bin Assortment. This will open the Bin Assortment module.

  2. Select one and click on the Delete option from the Actions menu .

  3. A confirmation window will appear with the message - Are you sure you want to delete current Record? If you want to proceed, click Yes, or else click No.

  4. If you select Yes,

 then a

    Combination of item and batch/serial is invalid.

Import Barcode

Import Barcode

It allows the assortment creation by importing barcodes from text files or comma separated values (csv) files

Copy Record

It allows the assortment creation by copying records existing in the grid itself and will copy all attributes of the item other than the item code. This allows faster population of the items with similar attributes.

Note: Only the selected record will be duplicated

As per existing functionality, copy record will copy the selected row (including newly introduced batch valid upto) except for item barcode and batch/serial number.

Delete All

Using this button a user can clear all the assortments at a time. By clicking on the button you will get a message - "All the row(s) will be deleted, row(s) once deleted cannot be retrieved. Are you sure to delete?". If you click on Yes, all the assortment will be deleted.
