The 'web database' is the database component in GINESYS that in most cases is hosted outside the core GINESYS infrastructure for high availability and speed. The web database is a SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher versioned database which acts as a transient data store between HO and POS stores. It also stores the tables for Global Credit Notes, Customers, Loyalty Point Redemptions, Gift Voucher Redemptions. Having a high-speed and high-availability connection to the web database is important for smooth operations of GINESYS. Log on to GINESYS Web. Go to Desktop POS Manager > Utilities > Configure > Web database. Select the Web Database whose connection you wish to test. |

Go to Action and Click on "Test Current Connection". It will tell you if the connection is successful. |
