Requisition allows you to record any demand / requirement for your company. Requisition entry is basically a requisition request / demand sent to you by your stock location. It is important to note here that even issuing the stock from one stock point doesn't gets received to any other stock point. It will just get deducted from your stock point. This article descries the process of requisition entry in the Inventory module of Ginesys HO.


 How to: Create Requisition Entry

Pre-requisites 

   The users' role must have access to the Requisition Entry feature in Inventory module by providing the level 4 Role Privilege to it in Admin – Security Settings – Role Privileges.

Step-by-step guide

The process is divided in the following steps:

  1. Go to Inventory > Requisitions > Requisition Entry.
  2. Requisitions - Requisition Entry window will be open.
  3. Fill the General Information:
    1. Select Owner Site (Mandatory field) from the lookup window.
    2. Requisition No.: This number will be generated automatically.
    3. Entry Date: The system date will be populated automatically in this fields. You can change it as per your requirement.
    4. Status will be populated automatically.
  4. Fill the Item Information:
    1. You can provide here items either by Import Barcode or Scan Item or Select Item. The item's information gets displayed from groups to category values. If the item is selected twice, it will ask you whether you would like to increase the quantity or overwrite or skip the quantity of the item.

      Important Note: In case you are issuing against Requisition Entry, select item gets disabled, i.e., you can only issue items which are present in the Requisition Entry.

  5. Any required Remarks must be put in the Others section
  6. Click on the Save Icon () to save the Requisition Entry.
