This article is a collation of all articles that will enable creation and management of Attribute through GINESYS in the mentioned order:
Add, Edit and Delete Attribute in Attribute Master
Add / Create Attributes in the Attribute Master
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Add app operation in the Attribute feature in Inventory - Product Definition - Setup through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
Step-by-step guide
The steps are as follows:
- Go to Ginesys Web - Inventory - Product Definition - Setup - Attribute. The Attribute module opens.
- There are 6 tab - Attribute 1-6.
- Click on the Add button.
- Type the name you want your attribute to have in the Attribute Name field. (This is a mandatory field).
- Click on the Save button.
- Record saved successfully. - message will be displayed.
- Click on the Close button to close the window. Click Yes in the Discard Changes confirmation window to go back to the Attribute module or else click No.
Edit attribute in the Attribute Master
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Modify app operation in the Attribute feature in Inventory - Product Definition - Setup through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
Steps
- Select an attribute and click on the Edit option (from the Actions menu) or double click on the record. The Edit Attribute <Attribute no. 1-6> window opens.
- Modify the attribute name as required in the Attribute Name field.
- You can also make an attribute extinct by selecting the This record is extinct option.
- Once done, click on the Save button.
- Record saved successfully. - message will be displayed.
Delete Attribute
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Delete app operation in the Attribute feature in Inventory - Product Definition - Setup through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
Steps
- Select an attribute and click on the Delete option (from the Actions menu).
- A confirmation window will appear with the message - Are you sure you want to delete current Record? If you want to proceed, click Yes, or else click No.
- If you select Yes, then a message - Record deleted successfully. - will be displayed.
- If you select No, then you will be directed back to the Attribute module.
Merge two or more Attributes as a new attribute in Attribute Master
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Merge app operation in the Attribute feature in Inventory - Product Definition - Setup through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
Step-by-step guide
The steps are as follows:
- Go to Ginesys Web - Inventory - Product Definition - Setup - Attribute. The Attribute module opens.
- There are 6 tab - Attribute 1-6. Select the attribute tab you want to merge attributes in.
- Select a attribute you want to merge and click on the Merge option (from the Actions menu).<Attribute no.>window opens.
- In the Attribute Name column, select the attributes you want to merge.
Select the attribute name you want the merged attributes to have in the Change To field. Click on the drop-down arrow and select the attributes from the list.
- Once done, click on the Merge button.
- Record saved successfully. - message will be displayed.
- Click on the Close button to close the <Attribute no.> window. Click Yes in the Discard Changes confirmation window to go back to the Attribute module or else click No.
