1.2 Ways to Interact with EaseMyGST
EaseMyGST can be accessed through multiple interfaces i.e. manual CSV . upload, SFTP and API method.
Let’s understand about these ways to interact with EaseMyGST :
Manual CSV . upload – First way is to manually upload your data in CSV . format on EaseMyGST . For downloading input format go to EaseMyGST (https://portal.easemygst.com/dashboard ) ->Resource ->Utilities-> Click on input format
SFTP – Second way is through secure file transfer protocol (SFTP). For this, you need to create a secured location where you can store all your data and need to give read-only access to us so that we can pull out your data from that location and push it to our EaseMyGST . So providing that ready-only access to us, while setting up business in EaseMyGST you need to go to settings there you will get an option to share your SFTP URL and Port Number. By using this SFTP way for uploadation of your data in EaseMyGST , you can set up a scheduler like in every week on a particular day pick up data from this location and push it to EaseMyGST . API Method – Third way is API method. For this, you need to integrate EaseMyGST API in your ERP system. So through this API, you need to call various API to interact with EaseMyGST e.g. Call Upload API to upload your data. For uploading of data there are two ways – one is upload in .csv format and second is upload in JSON format. In this method, there is less human intervention than above-mentioned ways. Also here you can set up a scheduler e.g. every day at so and so time upload data on EaseMyGST .
1.3 How to Sign-up for EaseMyGST
To get started with EaseMyGST then you have to be a registered user of EaseMyGST .
Go to EaseMyGST portal.
Click on SignUp
Registration Successful message will be displayed and email will be sent to the Email ID which was mentioned during Sign up.
Complete registration from the email link and Set Password and provide Mobile number which is registered at GST System and Aadhaar Card number (Optional).
Rules:
Password should be Min 8 and max 16 alphanumeric, should contain 1 special character, 1 digit, 1 upper-case and 1 lower-case alphabet.
Mobile no. (Optional) should be numeric and 10 digit.
Aadhaar number should be numeric and 12 digit. The Aadhaar number should never start with 0 & 1.
Enter Login credentials on EaseMyGST . You have now been authenticated and can add your
Company/Business on the portal.
1.4 Enable API Access
Prerequisites for using EaseMyGST
Enable API Access– Need to enable API access at GST Portal
Activate session with GSTN – For filing or saving your data on GSTN your session with GSTN need to be active.
These are parallel activities that you can do with setting up your business with EaseMyGST .
1.4.1 Enabling API access for GST system
To manage your GST filings through EaseMyGST GST , a one-time activity of enabling API access is required to be undertaken for every GSTIN. It will allow you to communicate with the GST system seamlessly through EaseMyGST .

Click on Confirm After Selecting the Maximum Duration.
After enabling the API access, the connection with GST system is established by providing the OTP which is sent to the mobile number registered with GST system. Refer to the OTP generation process in EaseMyGS.
While enabling the access for API, you will also need to specify the duration for which the connection withGST system can be kept active, without the need to generate OTP again in the specified duration. The GST system currently allows the session duration to be set as 6 hours or 30 days. It is recommended that a longer duration be specified so that OTP need not be generated frequently.
1.4.2 Procedure to enable the API access
Step 1: Log on to GST Portal
Log on to the GST Portal (https://www.gst.gov.in/ ) using your login credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to ‘View Profile’
Under the ‘Dashboard’ section, select ‘View Profile’.
1.5 Activate Session with GST
