Orders

In browntape, one can manually create the batch or he can automate the process of batch creation by enabling the automated batch creation feature. You can automate the batch creation process based upon channels, warehouses, shipped by, product family and order created date. Also there are some more options which you can see in the below image.

To do so -

Login to your browntape account
Click on settings and then click on the “Orders” drop down button.
Select “Orders settings” from the drop down button.

Now under shipping batch creation logic, an user can select how he wants to automate the process of batch creation.

Note: Channel & warehouse options are selected by default and no changes can be made here.

After selecting the options, changes will be saved automatically. So when the user will enable auto batch creation from the shipment batch settings, the shipping batches will get created automatically without manual intervention.

IMEI Settings

In browntape, for electrical components IMEI number is must for order processing,without IMEI number browntape will not process your order item. You will not be able to print invoices and labels for those orders without entering the IMEI number.

Printing Settings

A user can specify which documents to be printed when the “print” button on the “Batches and Orders” page is clicked. To do so -

Login to your browntape account
Click on settings and than click on “Orders” drop down button.
Select “Orders settings” from the drop down button. Scroll down till you get “Printing” section.

Now select the documents which you want to be printed when the print button on the “Batches and Orders” page is clicked

Courier Settings

A user can specify “Courier assignment” settings to be done based on pincode or manually.

Pincode based means it will automatically assign the Courier and corresponding AWB numbers to the orders based on serviceable Pin Codes defined by user in the settings.

In manual, user will select the Couriers for COD and Prepaid orders respectively that he would like to assign for the orders.

To do so -

Login to your browntape account
Click on settings and than click on “Orders” drop down button.
Select “Orders settings” from the drop down button.
Scroll down till you see the “Couriers” section.
Select the option based on your own requirements.

Measurements Settings

A user can specify the default measurements for multi item orders. And to do so -

Login to your browntape account
Click on settings and than click on “Orders” drop down button.
Select “Orders settings” from the drop down button.
Scroll down till you see the “Measurements” section.
Fill in the details i.e dimensions and weight.
Click on “Save” button.
