Adding & Editing Account Class in Ginesys HO

Account Class allows the facility to further segregate the accounts of the supplier/customer, etc.,  as required for reporting purposes. Like instead of Supplier, you may need to segregate the data as Fabric Supplier and Raw Materials Supplier so that you can easily distinguish between the two and see the reports accordingly. This article describes how to manage Account Class in Ginesys HO. 

This form offers the facility to create different Classes for grouping the Sub Ledgers because a Sub Ledger depends on the Class selected. By default eight (8) classes are already incorporated at the time of installation of GINESYS. They are:

  • Customer
  • Supplier
  • Transporter
  • Jobber
  • Agent
  • TDS Agency
  • Employee
  • Others

 Add Account Class

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Accounts Class feature by enabling Add app operation for the feature in Admin - Security - User - Role through Ginesys Web - Finance - Setup - Chart of Account.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web > Finance > Setup > Chart of Account > Account Class.

  2. Account Class module will open.

  3. Click on the Add button.

  4. The Add Account Class window will open.



  5. Put in the Class Name.

  6. Select the Class Type from the drop down list.



  7. Click on the Save button.

  8. The record will be saved successfully.


 Edit Account Class

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Accounts Class feature by enabling Modify app operation for the feature in Admin - Security - User - Role through Finance - Setup - Chart of Account.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web > Finance > Setup > Chart of Account > Account Class.

  2. Account Class module will open.

  3. Select the Account Class you want to edit.

  4. Go to Action > Edit. 

  5. You can double click on the Account Class which you want to edit.

  6. The Edit Account Class window will open. 

  7. You can modify the Class Name only.

             

  8. Click on the Save button to save the modification.

  9. The record will be saved successfully.

To make a class extinct, select the check box This record is extinct in the lower left corner of the Edit Account Class window.

Online Printing option is now available from version 12.6.6 onwards.
