Adding, Editing & Extinct Coupons through Ginesys POS Management

In marketing, a Coupon is a ticket or document that can be redeemed for a financial discount or rebate when purchasing a product. Customarily, coupons are issued by manufacturers of consumer packaged goods or by retailers, to be used in retail stores as a part of sales promotions.

It may be distributed through direct mail, apps, social media or other marketing means.

A coupon will feature a specific savings amount or other special offer to persuade consumers to purchase specific goods or services or to purchase from specific retailers.

This article describes how to manage Coupons in Ginesys.

 Add Coupons

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Coupon Offer feature by enabling Add app operation in Admin - Security - User - Role through  POS Management - Coupon - Manage.
  2. The coupon feature is functional only after EasyRewardz integration.
  3. The Assortments must be created.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to POS Management > Coupon > Coupon Offer. The Coupon Offer module opens.

  2. Click on the Add button. The Coupon Offer window opens.


  3. Under Benefit Specification tab, fill in the fields like Name, Short Name etc.


  4. If you want to allow redemption on promotional item then select the checkbox beside the Allow redemption on promo items option.

  5. Enter the minimum amount to be purchased in the Minimum redemption value option.

    Redemption value refers to the amount which the customer has to buy, after which he would be given the coupon.

  6. Under the Assortment Specification tab, in the Available Assortments section, select the desired assortment and click on the right arrow to populate it in the Assigned Assortments section.

  7. Under the Redemption Site Specification tab, in the Available POS sites section, select the desired POS sites / sites and click on the right arrow to populate it in the Assigned POS Sites section.
  8. Once done, click on the Save & Close button. 

  9. Sync at HO and POS.

    The Coupons can be redeemed only if EasyRewardz has been integrated at the POS.

 Edit Coupon

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Coupon Offer feature by enabling Edit app operation in Admin - Security - User - Role through  POS Management - Coupon - Manage.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to  POS Management > Coupon > Coupon Offer.
  2. The Coupon Offer module opens.
  3. Double click on the coupon you want to edit from the list.
  4. Coupon Offer window will open. 
  5. All the data will be populate in respective fields.
  6. Edit the records you want to.
  7. Click on the Save & Close button to save the modified data.
 Extinct Coupon

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Coupon Offer feature by enabling Edit app operation in Admin - Security - User - Role through POS Management- Coupon - Manage.
  2. The coupon must not be tagged to any site 

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to POS Management > Coupon > Coupon Offer.
  2. The Coupon Offer module opens.
  3. Double click on the coupon you want to modify from the list.
  4. Coupon Offer window will open. 
  5. Select the check box This record is extinct to extinct the coupon. Once you extinct, you can not use the record any more until you un-extinct.

Coupon Deletion is not available yet.
