22-July-2019 IMPORTANT: Ginesys no longer supports Oracle 10g as the version reached end-of-support

Greetings from Ginesys Care!

This announcement is to notify all Ginesys customers that from release 11.147.6 onward, Oracle 10g will no longer be supported. This is inline with Oracle extended support ended in July 2013. We will continue to support Oracle 12c (12.1.0.2.0).

We expect many of Ginesys customers will not be impacted for this as they are already running compatible Oracle 12c version. If you are still using Oracle 10g then please contact your Ginesys Account Manager to get advice on upgrading to Oracle 12c. You can also contact Ginesys Care for information and support on upgrading Oracle.

To verify the running version of Oracle, please check the backup log file in database backup directory. The first line of the log file will help you to understand the database version. If you are observing the below mentioned version, then no action is needed. In case the version like 10g, please get in touch with us.
