Saving Scheduled Reports with user given report name in specified folder

The web reports are saved into a particular folder provided by the user after running the report as per scheduled time. This article describes the process of saving scheduled reports in a specific folder.

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Report module in Admin - Security - Roles.

Step-by-step guide

The steps are as follows:

  1. Create a folder where you want to save the scheduled report output. 
  2. Go to Ginesys Web > Report > Repository.
  3. You will get two section - Repository and Configurable View.  
  4. Right click on any report you want to configure. 
  5. Click on the Output Configuration. 
  6. Report Output Configuration window will open.
  7. Fill the Output FIle Input fields - Output File Path, Schedule Output File Name and Batch Output File Name. In the Help section, you will get suggestion to fill those fields.
  8. Click on Ok
  9. Now go to Ginesys Web > Report > Home.

  10. List of Scheduled Reports will be open. 

  11. Select the report you want to schedule.
  12. Click on the Menu icon beside the report.
  13. A drop down list will be open. 
  14. Select the Schedule Report option. 
  15. A wizard will open to schedule the report. 
  16. Put in the Schedule Name, Document Type, Schedule TIme, Date etc in the Recurrence tab of the wizard. 
  17. Select Run as Batch Report in the Batch tab.
  18. select any one field from the Fields section in the Batch tab.  
  19. Go to Recipients tab and untick the Attach Report Output to Email option.
  20. Now click on the Finish button.
  21. You will get the report status in the list after refreshing the page. 
  22. The report will be saved in the mapped folder after the status changed from Ready to Running.

    Note: There is a provision of sending the scheduled Batch Report and Normal Report via Email. The steps are as follows:

    1. Set a schedule time at which the email will be sent automatically.
    2. The system will check that the provided email ID is valid or not. 
    3. If the email ID is valid, then the scheduled report will be sent via email. 
    4. If the email id is not valid, then no email will be sent. 


Requirement for running Scheduler Reports

Steps:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web > Report > Server > Culture Settings.
  2. Culture Settings fields will open. 
  3. Set the Time Zone Name as Asia/Kolkata.
  4. Click on Apply.

After completing the above steps, the Scheduler Reports will run properly.
