"Unable to perform backup operation.Oracle export/import utility not found in the specified location.Ginesys backup...from the Ginesys Server not from any Ginesys client".- Error while run the Backup Utility from Ginesys Launchpad.

SYMPTOMS

Mentioned error appeared on screen while we are trying to run the Ginesys Backup Utility from Launchpad.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CAUSE

Oracle Export Utility (expdp.exe) path is set as different folder path (wrong path) into the Ginesys Backup Utility. It needs to be changed according to actual BIN folder path of Oracle software installation location.

RESOLUTION

  1. Find the Oracle installation drive and then find the <Oracle_Software_Installation_location>\BIN path.

  2. At the Oracle Export Utility Location field we just Browse the above path. Then we can check the backup by clicking on Take Backup button.

An example of Oracle Export Utility location is as follows.

  • D:\Oracle\Database\Ora12CDB\BIN

Note : Oracle BIN folder location may vary on the basis of Oracle standard installation process.
