08-May-2018 IMPORTANT: Notification regarding download and installation of Redis Cache and VC++ 2013 Redistributable 64 bit

Dear Customer,

Greetings from Ginesys!

This is an important notification about the requirement for a few third party software components, before upgrading Ginesys to version 11.136.2. These components have to be  downloaded and installed/updated manually through the Ginesys HO Updater utility. You can also download and install the same through the links given in the KBs mentioned below. Please read the mail carefully and install the components before you upgrade to version 11.136.2 to avoid post-upgrade issues.

NOTE: Both components are required to be installed in Ginesys HO.


1. Redis Cache - This is an in-memory data structure store for improved performance required for all future releases of Ginesys. To know about installation process of Redis Cache, visit https://ginesys.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUB/pages/370770158/How+To+Install+Redis+manually. If the URL does not open directly, copy and paste the same in your browser.


2. Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable 64 bit - This is a required component for some new functionalities to be introduced in Web Database management module of Ginesys.  To know about installation process of VC++ 2013 Redistributable 64 bit visit https://ginesys.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUB/pages/374013962/How+To+Install+VC+2013+Redistributable+64+bit+manually. If the URL does not open directly, copy and paste the same in your browser. 

IMPORTANT: Please note that unless you install the above components, your Ginesys software cannot install the 11.136.2 update and run.
