Introducing of POS Customer Master Configuration Option in Ginesys ERP

Module: POS Management - Setup - POS Customer

Enhancement Summary:

We've added a new feature to Ginesys ERP that makes the POS Customer Master more flexible and user-friendly. Now, user can easily configure and personalize the fields in the POS Customer Master to match their exact needs. This update is all about giving user a more adaptable and user-focused experience.

What can be configured?

Users now have the option to set the Visibility, Mandatory marking & Sequence of the fields of the POS Customer master UI according to there needs.

Important Points:

  1. Introducing New App Operation: With this update, we are introducing a new app operation named as 'Settings' via which HO users can customize the POS Customer master UI.
    Module: Ginesys HO → POS Management → Setup → POS customer → Action Button

  2. Impact Area: This impact will only be on POS Bill, Delivery Slip & Collection Centre of Ginesys POS, in both Add and Edit customer mode.

  3. Mandatory Fields: We've made things simpler. With this update, only two fields, "ISDCODE" and "Mobile," are now system mandatory. Rest of the fields are based on the user preference.

  4. Dilution of EMR(ISMEMBERSHIPENABLED) configuration : With this update, we are removing the 'ISMEMBERSHIPENABLED' configuration for EMR as visibility of “Customer Loyalty” field is now dependent on new settings. If user want to input membership number they can mark the setting as visible else Not visible.

  5. Migration Handling:

    1. Access to the new app operation will not be granted to any existing users, given the sensitivity of the new feature. Following this feature update, administrators would have to manually designate the access to new app operation to the desired users.

    2. All the fields in the new settings would be marked as Visible to maintain the uniformity with the existing UI.
      Exception: For visibility of Customer Loyalty field check below matrix.

 

 

Impact- This update affects users of Ginesys POS. No changes will occur in the Zwing customer master.
