20862 Customer master has now been transferred to Web

Module:

GINESYS Web – Sales & Distribution – Setup – Customers –  Customer

Enhancement Summary:

Customers are the reason of existence of any business. The buyer must buy the services or goods on offer for the seller to post profit.

 The GINESYS Customer master form has been provided for creating and maintaining a record of the various customers. Existence of the master form allows the customers to be referred in transaction documents and allow them to be extinct when they are not needed any more.

 Major UI changes have also been made in our quest to make Customer master more user-friendly -

  • The Inventory tab has been removed and the inward logistic information being put into Procurement tab and the outward logistic being shifted to Sales tab. The transporterinformation has been moved to the General tab.

  • TDS and Bank details have been shifted from Procurement to Finance.
  • The Statutory, General ledger and Ledger tabs have been brought together under the Finance tab.
  • Billing address information has been shifted from Contacts to the General tab.
  • The customer site creation and organization site allocation, which could earlier be made through the Customer master, will now be done through separate new menus.

Note: All operations of the Customer master form are user policy driven and can be executed only by those with proper privileges.

24303 Assignment of Organization Sites to customers in the Sales and Distribution module can now be done in GINESYS Web.

Module:

GINESYS Web – Sales & Distribution – Setup – Customers –  Assign-Organization Site

Enhancement Summary:

Assign Organization Site menu is provided to allow the customer to purchase and sale in the selected organization sites as decided by the GINESYS user. This tagging signifies that sales for this customer can be done from allocated organization sites only. Tagging of organization sites can be made at customer sites level also.

For example: an organization site can sell goods to a site X of a customer C, but he cannot sell to site Y of the same customer.

Multiple Organization sites can be allocated to each customer. Multiple customer sites can also be tagged with a single organization site. If no organization site is tagged to a customer then he has the freedom to transact with all organization sites of the company.

The assignment of the organization site which was earlier done through the Customer master will now be done through a new menu.

Both Allocate and Delete operations can be performed on the Assign-Organization Site menu.

25621 Unmanaged Site has now been provided new menu in the GINESYS Web

Module:

GINESYS Web – Sales & Distribution – Setup – Customers –  Un-managed Site

Enhancement Summary:

The customer site creation which was earlier done through the Customer master will now be done through this module. All three kinds of Un-managed sites (i.e. customer owned outright mode, customer owned outright mode with secondary stock tracking and customer owned consignment mode) have been catered through this new menu.

 Both Add and Edit operations can be performed on the Unmanaged Site menu. No deletion of site is allowed once created, however, they may be made extinct.

 The UI has been enhanced to include:

  1. A comprehensive list of Un-managed sites can now be seen through this feature.
  2. The working has become easy to understand and operate.
  3. Now, only Un-managed sites can be seen from this module.

24304 Vendor master has now been transferred to Web

GINESYS Web – Procurement – Setup – Vendors –  Vendor

Enhancement Summary:

Vendors are the basis of any business. The supplier or vendor must supply the services or goods on time at a viable price for the buyer to post profit.

The GINESYS Vendor master form has been provided for creating and maintaining a record of the various vendors. Existence of the master form allows the vendors to be referred in transaction documents and allow their records to be made extinct when they are not needed any more.

Major UI changes have also been made in our quest to make Vendor master more user-friendly -

  • The Address tab has been divided into two tabs for recording the Billing Address and the Shipping Address.
  • Margin Rule tab, which could earlier be made through the Vendor master, will now be done through separate menu named Margin Rule Allocation (Vendor Wise)
  • Organization site allocation, which could earlier be made through the Vendor master, will now be done through separate menu named Assign Organization Site.
  • TDS and Bank details have been shifted from Procurement to Finance.
  • The Statutory, General ledger and Ledger tabs have been brought together under the Finance tab.

Module:

GINESYS Web – Procurement – Vendors – Margin Rule

Enhancement Summary:

The margin set on the item cost is the profit that the purchaser expects from selling the items to maintain a stable profit from it. The rule required for maintaining this stable profit against an item or against a supplier is known as the Margin Rule.

GINESYS allows you to define these rules and apply those rules on items to maintain a enduring profit. Now the margin rule master has been put on web under the Procurement – Vendor menu.

25906 Margin Rule Allocation Site wise can now be done from GINESYS Web

Module:

GINESYS Web – Procurement – Vendors – Margin Rule Allocation (Site wise)

Enhancement Summary:

Margin for an item may differs when procured at different sites, either from same or different vendors. There comes the implication of site wise – vendor wise, margin rule allocation. New form has been provided for view and managing allocated margin rule to site. User can edit the assigned margin rule for the allocated site and if required, the rule can be deleted, depending upon login user app-operation.

Note: New allocation of Margin rule to vendors can now be done through Data Import Wizard.

Enhancement Summary:

Implication of Margin Rule defined comes into effect after assignment to vendors. This was earlier done from Vendor master. New form has been provided for view and managing allocated margin rule to vendors. User can only edit the assigned margin rule for the allocated vendor and if required it can be deleted, depending upon login user app-operation.
