1 | Organization Hierarchy & Capturing Counter Party GST Identification Number (GSTIN)Configuring GST Identification Number (GSTIN) MasterModule: GINESYS Web - Admin - Organization - Manage - GST Identification Number (GSTIN) Enhancement Summary: You will get a separate GST Identification Number from the Indian Government, for the presence of your organization in every state. The purpose of this module is allow you input the same into the system. It can further be tagged to your owned stores and organization sites. This is a very important step as invoice posting/upload to GSTN portal shall be done according to the GSTIN tagged to owned stores and organization sites. Tagging GST Identification Number (GSTIN) to Owned Sites/StoresModule: GINESYS Web - Retail Management - Manage - Setup - Site Enhancement Summary: Once GST Identification Numbers are put into the system, you need to tag those GSTIN to owned stores/sites. For example a GSTIN with state code - ‘West Bengal’, should be tagged to all owned stores and warehouses existent in West Bengal. Capturing Counter Party GST Information (Other than Customers)Module: GINESYS Web - Procurement - Setup - Vendors - Vendor Enhancement Summary: The Indian Government wants each and every invoice to be uploaded in GSTN portal and to do so you need to ensure that you capture all the required GST information. Capturing Counter Party GST Information (For Customers)Module: GINESYS Web - Sales & Distribution - Setup - Customers - Customer Enhancement Summary: The Indian Government wants each and every invoice to be uploaded in GSTN portal and to do that you need to ensure that you capture all the required GST information. Capturing Counter Party GST Information (For Retail Customers)Module: GINESYS Web - Retail Management - Setup - Manage - Customer Enhancement Summary: Indian Government wants that for transactions done above Inventory ImpactConfiguring GST RatesModule: GINESYS Web - Inventory - Product Definition - Tax Definition - GST Rate Enhancement Summary: Government of India has already published GST rates - namely 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%. The same needs to be configured here GST component wise. For example, as per the current draft law/rule, for GST 5%, IGST component shall be 5%, CGST & SGST shall be 2.5% each and Cess as 0, the same break up needs to be captured here. Configuring HSN / SAC Code MasterModule: GINESYS Web - Inventory - Product Definition - Tax Definition - HSN/SAC Master Enhancement Summary: Along with invoice header details, in your returns, Indian Government wants you to provide details of the item group too. They don’t want you to provide these details at item level but actually want you to upload details at a group level. The Indian Government has come up with categorization of items & services and they want you to update your system according to that grouping information. HSN stands for ‘Harmonized System of Nomenclature’ which is group code for Items and SAC stands for ‘Services Accounting Codes’ which is group code for services. Slab wise GST Rate definition Slab applicable provision has been introduced by Government recently and we shall incorporate the same in upcoming releases. Tagging HSN Code to GoodsModule: All Item creation & modification Modules Enhancement Summary: Once HSN is configured, you need to tag the same in goods to ensure proper GST calculations in all the transactions. Tagging HSN Code to ServicesModule: GINESYS Web - Procurement - Setup - Services - Service Enhancement Summary: Once SAC is configured, you need to tag the same in services to ensure proper GST calculations in Service Orders and Invoices. |
