Description

Simultaneous stock audit of same items in multiple stock points is now available

Module:

Enhancement Summary:

Multiple stock audit plans can now be created for same item group simultaneously from multiple stock points. The previous limitation has been removed where only one stock audit plan creation for an item was allowed.
The new process of stock audit has also enabled the modification of an item even when the item is included in an active stock plan.
GINESYS has also provided a new privilege of taking snapshot/backup of stock quantity of an item in a stock point. The snapshot can be taken when a new stock audit plan is in activated or locked state. Even after physical stock has been taken and the stock has been updated, the user can still restore the snapshot and go back to the stock position before the beginning of physical stock taking.

Scenario:

Suppose an item I001 is available in multiple stock points, if stock audit plan for the item is active in stock point A, even then the same item can now be audited in stock point B. Previously, simultaneous auditing of the same item in multiple stock points was not allowed.

Optional OTP validation has been introduced for redemption of GINESYS loyalty benefits

Enhancement Summary:

Redemption of both GINESYS loyalty discount and point benefits have been made more secure with one-time password (OTP) verification process. Whether OTP validation is mandatory for redemption of loyalty benefit would be specified in the loyalty benefit specification window. If a loyalty card with OTP enabled loyalty benefit is tagged in a POS bill, then software would ask for OTP in case of applying discount for discount benefit and redeeming loyalty points in case of point benefit.

Scenario:

Suppose a customer owns a loyalty card in which benefits tagged are OTP is enabled. When the customer would request for point redemption against his purchases he would be sent an OTP in his mobile number. Points will only be redeemed once OTP is entered.

POS Login will be disallowed if differential backup fails

Enhancement Summary:

At some cases where Differential Backup was not successfully created during synchronization process, the same will now get captured stating that the information was synchronized but backup was not taken. In such cases, where differential backup is not available, operator will now get restricted from logging into POS from next login onwards.

Scenario:

Suppose during a synchronization process on 13th January, differential backup was not taken. This information will get captured and when the operator will try to login to POS on 14th January he will be restricted to access POS due to lack of differential backup.
