GIN-I-812

GIN-I-812 Enhancement in the resolution logic of memo level promotion in POS

Module:

POS - Normal POS
POS - POS as Collection Centre

Enhancement Summary:

On contrary to the existing logic of memo level promotion resolution where only the promotion with highest priority is resolved, should the buying condition be satisfied, the new logic of memo level promotion is different. In the new logic, if the memo level promotion with the highest priority is not resolved, the software would check for the next memo level promotion with immediate lower priority.

In this way the software would continue to check for applicable memo level promotions even if the promotion with highest priority is not satisfied.

Scenario:

An example below would better clarify the issue -

Suppose Memo Level Promotions running currently, from priority high to low –

• P1 [Priority - 2]: Buy Rs.3000 and above from Assortment A and get 50% discount.
• P2 [Priority - 1]: Buy Rs.2000 and above from Assortment B and get 10% discount.

On a bill of Rs. 2500-

Since promotion P1 has higher priority, it would be checked for resolution first, but the bill value is less than the minimum amount defined in the promo; it will not be resolved.

Promotion P2 which is in lower priority would now be analyzed for application, since the bill value exceeds the minimum amount defined in the promo, it would be applied.

GIN-I-881 In case of Extra VAT Promotion - Promo Discount & Extra VAT Apportionment logic has been revamped

Module:

POS - Normal POS
POS - POS as Collection Centre

Enhancement Summary:

In our existing promotion, extra VAT amount is calculated on both BUY satisfied and GET satisfied items. But ideally and logically, the extra VAT, which is nothing but a charge, should be applicable on GET satisfied item only.

Scenario:

For example,

There are two items - T1001, T1002 | Promotion - Buy 2 items get 1 at 50% discount.

POS Bill condition - Both T1001 and T1002 are in the POS bill. After promotion application, item T1001 was billed at full price and item T1002 would be available at 50% discount. So extra VAT amount should be applicable T1002 only.
