10835 Reconciliation of received goods in store GRC has been renamed and strengthened

Module:

Retail Management - Setup - Master Policy

Retail Management - Setup - Site Policy

POS - Back Office - Transactions - GRC

Enhancement Summary:

In POS due to time constraints, users were often not scanning each item even when only item reconciliation was allowed as it was possible to enter the value manually in Received column of the GRC (Policy - Allow packet reconciliation in Goods Receive). Now by using the same policy renamed to - Reconciliation mode in Goods Receive - three cases may be seen.

  • If Both Packet and Item reconciliation is selected, the user will be allowed to reconcile packets and also enter item quantity manually (or) scan items with quantity population as a manual mode in goods receive-item reconciliation.
  • If Only Item reconciliation with manual entry is selected, the user will be allowed only to perform item reconciliation with an option to enter item quantity manually or scan items with quantity population as a manual mode in goods receive.
  • If Only Item reconciliation without manual entry is selected, the user will be allowed only to perform item reconciliation but without an option to enter item quantity manually or scan items with quantity population as a manual mode in goods receive.

Important information

Note: While importing barcode file, system will not allow importing of quantity values of the item along with barcode from a file.

10856 GST will now be charged in Retail POS bill based on point of supply of goods bought

Module:

POS - Normal POS - Payment (F8)

POS - Collection Centre - Payment

Enhancement Summary:

Now customers making offline purchases will be charged CGST and SGST irrespective of their state of registration with Ginesys users. A new policy has been introduced to cater to this - Trade group to be applied in case of the customer GST state is different from store state. It has the following options:

  • LOCAL
  • INTERSTATE
  • PROMPT USER

Scenario:

Customers who are registered with a Ginesys user in one state may make offline purchases from a POS site of the same user in another state. Suppose, a customer of Delhi makes an offline purchase from a Mumbai POS site; then they will be charged GST in the following manner.

  • If LOCAL is selected, then for the customer with different GST state from Store GST state - system directly applies Local trade group GST tax charges and will NOT consider customer GST state as counter-party GST state.
  • If INTERSTATE is selected, then for the customer with different GST state from Store GST - state system directly applies Interstate trade group GST tax charges and will consider customer GST state as counter-party GST state.
  • If PROMPT USER is selected, then for the customer with different GST state from Store GST state system warns the user to confirm to apply required GST tax charges(Local or Interstate) and consider (or) not a customer GST state as counter-party GST state.

Important Exception

Note: All the above are applicable provided the customers' state code is captured but no GSTIN is provided. If GSTIN is provided then GST is calculated based on that.

11331 EMR Configuration can now be allocated to different sites

Module:

POS - Administration - Policy - Role Policies

Enhancement Summary:

The EMR configuration, once defined & synced, gets enabled for all store locations. Existing setting in Master Policy named as Is Easy Rewardz Integrated is still visible but will remain unused

The new settings have a drop down list with values as-

Easemyretail (EMR) - On selecting this option EMR configuration will get enabled & synced to store.
Easy Rewardz Direct - On selection of this option, ER direct integration will get enabled.
None - On selection of this option no third party loyalty program will get enabled; Ginesys loyalty may be run in such cases. By default, this will be selected.

The same will be reflected in POS
