How To: Edit Currency in Store
Currency is money in actual use or circulation as a medium of exchange, in the form of circulating banknotes and coins. The Currency master is created in the HO and synced to the stores. In the stores currencies can only be edited.
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Currency feature by enabling Modify app operation for the feature in Admin - Role - User Role - User's role (Cashier etc) - Access Rights - Store Control.
- The Currency must be defined at HO and synced to the POS.
- Base Currency cannot be modified.
Step-by-step guide
The steps to edit currency are as follows:
- Go to Ginesys POS - Back Office - Store Control - Currency. The Currencies tab opens.
- Click on Edit. The Currency window opens.
Enter the current exchange rate with respect to the base currency in the Enter currency exchange rate field.
Rest of the fields are all read-only information.
- Once done, click on OK.
