How To: Manage Sales Person at the Store
Sales persons are the very backbone of any retail store. An efficient salesperson can push the amount of sales higher and persuade or influence the buying decisions of purchasers and convert them to regular and loyal customers. If a store is not HO controlled, then sales persons can be added to the Sales Person master at the store.
Pre-requisites
- The users' role must have access to the Sales Person feature by enabling the Add app operation for the feature in Admin - Role - User Role - User's role (Cashier etc) - Access Rights - Back Office - Store Control.
- The store should not be HO controlled.
- The Sales Person no., the First Name and the Last Name are mandatory fields.
Step-by-step guide
The steps are as follows:
- Go to Ginesys POS - Back Office - Store Control - Sales Person. The Sales Persons module opens.
- Click on the Add button. The Sales Person window opens.
- In the Identity tab, fill in the following details-
Sales Person no.
The Sales Person no. should not be more than 20 characters in length.
First Name
The First Name should not be more than 50 character in length.
- Middle Name (if any)
Last Name
The Last Name should not be more than 50 character in length.
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- In the Contact Information tab, provide address, email, mobile and phone numbers.
- Once done, click OK.
- The new sales person record will be added to the list.
Edit Sales Person details
To modify the details of an existing Sales Person, the users' role must have access to the Sales Person feature by enabling the Modify app operation for the feature in Admin - Role - User Role - User's role (Cashier etc) - Access Rights - Back Office - Store Control.
The user can modify the details of an existing Sales Person by selecting the Sales Person and clicking on the Edit button (or by double clicking on it) in the Sales Persons module.
Delete Sales Person details
To delete the details of an existing Sales Person, the users' role must have access to the Sales Person feature by enabling the Delete app operation for the feature in Admin - Role - User Role - User's role (Cashier etc) - Access Rights - Back Office - Store Control.
The user can delete the details of an existing Sales Person by selecting the Sales Person and clicking on the Delete button in the Sales Persons module.
To mark the sales person as Extinct
To mark the details of an existing Sales Person as Extinct, the users' role must have access to the Sales Person feature by enabling the Modify app operation for the feature in Admin - Role - User Role - User's role (Cashier etc) - Access Rights - Back Office - Store Control.
The user can mark an existing Sales Person as Extinct in the following way:
- Selecting the Sales Person from the list in the Sales Persons module.
- Click on the Edit button (or by double click on it).
- Tick the checkbox in the This record is extinct button and click OK.
