How To: Download an Item
We need to download an item in GINESYS POS in situations where the document for the particular item has not reached POS but the item is in stock or the customer returns the item to a store where it's information is not available. In other words, the record for a particular item is not present in POS database, but has to be obtained from HO. This article describes how to download item in GINESYS POS.
Pre-requisites
- The item must not be present in the local database.
- Item service must be configured.
Step-by-step guide
The process is divided into the following steps:
Open the POS module in GINESYS POS.
Go to Item (or press F2 key).> Download Item. Online Item Download window opens up.
Enter the barcode either by scanning it in or manually entering it in the Barcode field.
Click on Download.
Click on Save.
Item successfully saved to local database - message is displayed on the screen.
Click OK..
