Multiple modules (like Data Backup, Ginesys Web services, Web Database Locator etc) not opening due to missing application files

SYMPTOMS

Multiple modules like Data Backup, Ginesys Web services, Web Database Locator etc, fail to open and a error message is displayed saying that the specified application file is missing.

CAUSE

There are multiple reasons for the error message to be displayed. 

  1. In case of Launchpad, the system is unable to find the required file.



  2. In case of Database Locator, the system is unable to find the web.config file.



  3. In case of Web Services, the IIS is missing.

RESOLUTION

All the above issues can be solved in the following method:

  1. Update the software and the dependency file.
