“Server Error in ‘/GINESYSWeb’ Application”- Error message is displayed by the browser during Import Excel in GINESYS Web

The browser displays the following message Server Error in ‘/GINESYSWeb’ Application when user tries to import data through Excel in GINESYS Web.

CAUSE


Error 1:

One of the probable causes for the error is that the file DevExpress.Xpo.v15.1.dll is not present in <Ginesys Installed Drive>\GSL\GINESYS12\WebUI\bin folder.

Error 2:

One of the probable causes for the error is that a wrong file DevExpress.Web.Mvc.v15.1.dll present in <Ginesys Installed Drive>\GSL\GINESYS12\WebUI\bin folder.

RESOLUTION


A probable resolution of this error might be achieved by following the given steps: 

  1. Run Auto Update > Update Software (Auto Update version 10 onward) 

  2. Run Auto Update > Update Dependency File

  3. Reopen the Ginesys web page in the browser (F5) and try to import again. 



Note: Update Software operation handles deletion of DevExpress.Web.Mvc.v15.1.dll file and downloads DevExpress.Web.Mvc5.v15.1.dll file.
