Managing Print Cheque in Ginesys Web

Making payments securely by printing cheques directly in the names of proper payees and with correct amounts is of paramount importance to curb the possibility of any mishandling of accounts. Ginesys offers you the ability to do that for multiple bank accounts having different templates available in Ginesys Reports.

There is only a Single report for #Print Cheque# available in the Finance/Documents menu.

Prerequisites

  1. The users' role must have access to the Print Cheque app operation in the Print Cheque feature in Finance - Operation - Cheque through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.

  2. The printing of cheques for various templates is only possible if the templates are downloaded onto the System and each template is associated to a separate report by duplicating the available #Print Cheque# report.

Step-by-step guide

The process is divided in the following steps:

  1. Go to Ginesys Web > Report > Home > Finance > Documents > Print Cheque.
  2. Duplicate the System Report (#Cheque Printing#) with the Bank Name (eg. Axis, SBI etc.)

    Alert:

    Please note that Actual Report Name is Print Cheque.






  3. Upload the respective Bank Templates downloaded from the given links
  4. Edit the New Report Created, and Assign or Map the PDF Template with the Report by Choosing the predesigned PDF template.  There will generally be no need to Map the Report Field to the Template FieldOnce done SAVE the report.

     

     

     

     



  5. Add the Report/s for each bank in the Report Template Menu under Admin-Utilities-Manage-Report template with the Print Cheque transaction menu and Save the report mapping.
  6. Now go to Ginesys Web > Finance > Operation Cheque > Print Cheque.
  7. Print Cheque window will open.
  8. You will get two sections - Search Criteria and Found Document.
  9. Search Criteria:
    1. Select the Owner Site (Mandatory Field) for which you want to create the Check Book. 
    2. Select the Bank (Mandatory Field)
    3. Select Bank Name. 
    4. You can put in Created By, Voucher Date Range and Cheque Date Range. 
    5. Click on Populate button. 
  10. Found Document:
    1. You will get three tabs - Not yet printed, Already Printed and All.
    2. Searched result will be populated here with Voucher No., Date, Existing Book A/C etc. 
  11. Click on the Print button to print the Cheque. Check Print window will open.
  12. You need to select Printer and Type. Please ensure while selecting the Print Option that the Paper Size - Letter and Scale is 100%
  13. Then click on Print button to print finally. Note: Cheque should be fed to the Printer using the LONG end or TOP end.
