Managing the transactions in WMS

There are many different transactions in WMS. The following articles explain them in detail -

When the goods supplied to the warehouse is segregated into various bins, stored to be sent to other retail sites to be sold to end consumers or returned to suppliers for some reason - this action of segregating supplied goods into bins is known as Put Away.

When the goods in the various bins of the warehouse are taken out - the record of stored goods to be taken from bins is known as Take Away. Thee purpose of Take Away is transfer of goods to another physical location - whether for returning goods to vendor or relocating the inventory. This article describes how to manage a take away.

Sometimes the items in bins may need to be redistributed for better management. This is known as Bin Adjustment.

Stock is the amount of goods available with an organization for disbursal to its POS sites. Sometimes during such disbursal (whether against orders or more often adhoc), it was often found that an X amount of stock which should have gone to Site A was mistakenly sent to Site B and consequently Site A's order could not be honoured on time. Stock Reservation feature in GINESYS allows its users, to block the stock against an order.

A new Pick List has to be created each time orders have to fulfilled. Each pick list could be treated as a record of the fulfillment of multiple orders.

The Confirm Pick List is actually a form to validate the picking action.
