Adding, Editing , Cancelling & Printing Pick List

A Pick List is a document outlining the items required to fulfill an order.
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Add app operation in the Pick List feature in Inventory - WMS - Transactions through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
- Stock Reservations must have been made beforehand.
Step-by-step guide
The steps are as follows:
Go to Ginesys Web - Inventory - WMS - Transactions - Pick List. This will open the Pick List module.
Click on the New Pick List button. This will open the New Pick List window.
Fill in the search criteria section. You may choose from the criteria like - Date From, Order Type, Site Type, Pending Qty. From, Site, Customer, Pick List Rule and Pending Res. Qty From.
Criteria description
Reservation Date : From - Here you can provide the beginning date of a range within which the searched reservation was created.
To - Here you can provide the end date of a range within which the searched reservation was created.
Order Date : From - Here you can provide the date when order was created.
To - Here you can provide the end date of order.
Order Type : Order Type has to be selected from the drop-down provided. The available options are All, Sales Order and Transfer Order.
Site : This allows search for particular site for whom the reservation has been made.
Site Type : This field allows search based on site type.
Customer : This field allows search based on the customer for whom the Pick List is being made.
Pick List Rule : The field displays the logic for picking items which are in the reserved stock from the bins.The rules are as follows:
Bin Sequence - The stock shall be reserved as per the sequence defined in the bin master
Max fit bin first - The bin having the maximum quantity required for an order shall be reserved first. Note: This should be used when you want the picking operation to be efficient.
Min fit bin first - The bin having the maximum quantity required for an order shall be reserved first. Note: This should be used when you want to clear the less occupied bins.
Pending Res.
(Reservation) Qty.
(Quantity) : From - Here you can provide the beginning quantity of a range for the pending amount of the reservations' item quantity.
To - Here you can provide the end quantity of a range for the pending amount of the reservations' item quantity.
Once done, click on the Search button.
If you click on the Search button without providing any of the above mentioned criteria, then the system will display all available orders in the Order Details section.
Select the order you want to reserve.
You may select more than one reservation, but they will be a part of one single pick up list.
Batch/Serial Functionality Impact
Three new columns have been introduced, to display row/item specific batch/serial information
Batch/Serial No. [Purpose : To display batch serial no. of the item][Nature : Display only][Default view: hidden][Position: Immediate right to ‘Item detail’ column]
Valid Up to [Nature : Display only][Default view: hidden][Position: Immediate right to ‘Batch/Serial No.’ column]
Mfg. date [Nature : Display only][Default view: hidden][Position: Immediate right to ‘Valid Up to']
Creation/Cancel Impact: Consider batch information while creating/cancel picklist
No change in new picklist generation window.
Go to Pick List Generation Basis -
Grouping Logic - available options - Consolidated Pick list, Reservation wise, Destination site wise
Consolidated Pick list - Single Pick list for multiple reservation
Reservation wise - Per Picklist a single reservation is created
Destination site wise - Single Picklist for all reservation for a particular site
Picklists are segregated by location to ensure the efficiency of the pickers. The available options of segregation may be Floor, Zone, Shelf, Row, Area1, Area2 etc.
Some other optional information that may be captured - Picklist remarks.
Go to the Assign To field and select the name of the person you want to assign the pick list to from the drop-down and click Generate.
Click on Close to close the New Pick List window.
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Modify app operation in the Pick List feature in Inventory - WMS - Transactions through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
- Only the Pick Lists that are in Open state can be edited.
Steps
- Select a Pick List record and click on the Edit option (from the Actions menu) or double click on the record. The Edit Pick List window opens, which is similar to the New Pick List window.
- You cannot edit any of the details in the window, except for the Pick List Remarks and Assigned To fields. Rest of the fields are view only.
Prerequisites
- The users' role must have access to the Cancel app operation in the Pick List feature in Inventory - WMS - Transactions through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
- A Pick List which is already confirmed or cancelled, cannot be cancelled.
Steps
- Select a Pick List record and click on the Cancel option (from the Actions menu). The Cancel Pick List window opens.
- You cannot edit any of the details in the window, except for the Cancel Qty and Cancellation Reason fields.
- Click on the Cancel Pick List button.

- Select a Pick List and click on the Bulk Assign option(from the Actions menu).
- The Bulk Assign window opens.
- Go to the Assign To field and select the name of the person user wants to assign the pick list and click on the Assign button.

- The users' role must have access to the Print app operation in the Pick List feature in Inventory - WMS - Transactions through Roles in Ginesys Web - Admin - Security.
Steps
- Select a Pick List record and click on the Print option (from the Actions menu).
