How To: Refund deposit from the store
Sometimes it may happen that a customer who has deposited a certain amount at a POS may decide to get a refund on his deposit amount. This article will guide you to refund the deposit at the store.
Pre-requisites
- The users' role must have access to the Deposit / Refund feature by enabling the following app operations for the feature in Admin - Security - Roles (Cashier etc)- Access Rights - Back Office - Transactions:
- Refund
- Reprint
- Allow cash refund against GV
- Allow cash refund against Loyalty Redemption
- Customer and MOP masters must be available.
- Credit Note as a MOP must be assigned to the site.
- Allow Cash Refund master policy must be enabled.
Step-by-step guide
The process is divided in the following steps:
- Go to POS Back Office> Transactions> Deposit/Refund. The Deposit / Adjustment / Refund module opens.
- Click on Give Refund button. The Refund window opens.
Click on the Browse button beside the Customer prompt and select the required customer from the Customer Lookup window.
- Provide Credit Note details of the customer by clicking Adjust CR Note button.
- You can adjust multiple credit notes by clicking Add CR Note button.
- Now click on Give Refund and Save button to generate the Refund Bill.
Print the Refund Bill, if necessary.
Note: Session Tracking is enabled for Deposit / Refund Bill.
