Software pre-requisites for Installation of GINESYS v 11.100.0

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1

Ginesys doesn’t depend on Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 anymore apart from some old less used modules. Everything will be migrated soon and the upcoming setup doesn’t check for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or advanced

Most of the parts of Ginesys run on Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2. But as on the release of Ginesys Report kit 2019 the requirement of Microsoft .NET Standard 2.0 came and same is bundled with Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2.

Now Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 is the must have.

Microsoft .NET Framework .NET 5.0 (x64) hosting bundle to run .NET 5.0 based applications

Most of the parts of Ginesys run on Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2. But as on the release of Ginesys version 12.8.0 the requirement of Microsoft .NET 5.0 (x64) is required for running Ginesys application.

Now Microsoft .NET Framework 5.0.14 is the must have.

Microsoft ASP .NET Core 3.1

The requirement for Microsoft ASP .NET Core 3.1 has been introduced in Ginesys v11.152.0.

Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 (x64)

Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 (x64) is required for Ginesys v11.152.0 and later. On earlier version the requirement was for Visual C++ Redistributable 2013 (x64)

Crystal Report 13.0.20 Run-time

Crystal Report runtime is required for some reports

Redis Cache

Redis cache is a pre-requisites as on Ginesys version11.146.2 and later. It contributes in web performance enhancement.

Microsoft Access Database engine

Microsoft Access Database engine is require for importing data from Excel file.

WebClientPrint Processor (WCPP) 4.0

This is a web-based client used for barcode printing. This client has to be installed where barcode printing is required. If printing is done from Ginesys server, then it needs to be installed on server.

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 or advanced

In workstation Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 or advanced is required for Ginesys

Crystal Report 13.0.20 Run-time

Crystal Report runtime is required for some reports

WebClientPrint Processor (WCPP) 4.0

This is a web-based client used for barcode printing. This client has to be installed where barcode printing is required.
