Advanced Search in WebPOS

A powered-up alternative to the default product search, Advanced Search allows you to quickly locate products using specific attributes when needed, reducing transaction time and minimising errors.


To access this feature, you need to enable Advanced Search connected app on Zwing Console.
Go to Settings → Connected App → Connect a New App to enable the app.

Use Advanced Search

From the billing cart, tap on the Advanced link inside the search bar on top of the page.

This will open the Advanced Search dialog. Simply type in your search term and then tap the Search Products button or press Enter to display search results.

To add any product to billing cart from the search results, simply tap the Add to Cart button.

To view additional details of any product appearing in the search results, simply tap on its name to open the product information popup.


Search for a specific Parameter

For any search term you type in the input box, by default Advanced Search will try finding it across all product parameters. You can use the Search by… dropdown on the right side of the input box to select the parameter you wish to search for. Type in your search term and then tap the Search Products button or press Enter to display search results.

At present you can choose between limited searchable parameters, but we will be adding more options to the dropdown in future.


Filter Search Results

You can narrow down your search results using the Department, Brand and Category filters below the input box. This can be done before you type your search term, or after entering it. To apply a filter:

  1. Below the search input, tap on the filter you wish to apply.

  1. In the dropdown that opens, simply select the checkboxes next to the required values.

  2. The selected filters will be applied automatically.

You can remove all applied filters anytime using the Clear Filter button on the right.


Add Products using Advanced Search

Tap on the Add to Cart button on the product that you wish to add from the search results. You can tap it multiple times to increase the number of the units in cart.

You can also add a product from its product information popup, using the Add to Cart button on the bottom of the popup. Use the selection input to the left to change the number of units to add.
