Audit Trail New (post 12.17.2)

The Audit Trail Feature got a major overhaul after the Ginesys ERP version 12.17.2. These articles display the changed and enhanced Audit Trail feature. An Audit Trail provides basic information to backtrack through the entire trail of events to its origin, usually the original creation of the record but it needs to be enabled for audit tracking for that particular module.

What changes have occurred in the new version?

  • Precise Tracking of Audit Data: We've enhanced audit tracking to capture only pertinent user actions while disregarding system-related updates, thereby enhancing the user-friendliness of the audit log and avoiding clutter.

  • Additional Modules Covered Under Audit Tracking: We've also extended audit tracking to encompass new modules, the list is included in the 1st point of the FAQ.

  • Auto Tracking Enabled: The system can now automatically enable audit tracking for modules that are part of the Books of Accounts ( as these modules are supposed to be mandatorily tracked as per MCA) as provided in the FAQ.

  • Removal of “Disable Tracking”: Users are no longer able to disable tracking for the book of account modules. There will be no auto purge of the audit data for the modules which are disabled by the user.

  • Deletion of Audit log is restricted: We have removed the Purge menu from the Audit trail so as to comply with the auditor’s and entity’s requirement.
