Enhancement in Audit Trail Feature in Ginesys ERP

Enhancement Summary:

In this latest Ginesys ERP update, we've made significant enhancements to the Audit Trail feature. These improvements largely covers precise tracking of audit data, additional modules under audit, control measures in audit configuration and visualization of Audit data. Here are the key details of this enhancement:

Precise Tracking of Audit Data:

• Before this release, when a user created a document in the ERP, the audit log recorded multiple "Insert" and "Update" actions for a single document creation. This cluttered the audit log and made it hard for users and auditors to read. In this release, we have improved the audit tracking to only record relevant user actions and ignore system-related updates, making the audit log more user-friendly.

Additional Modules Covered Under Audit Tracking:

• We've extended audit tracking to encompass new modules, the list is included in the 1st point of the FAQ. 

Auto Tracking Enabled

• The system can now automatically enable audit tracking for modules that are part of the Books of Accounts as provided in the FAQ.

• Users are no longer able to disable tracking for these modules.

  
  
  

Introduction of On-Screen Report for Audit Data with comparison capability:

• We've introduced an on-screen option for viewing newly tracked audit data in the Head Office (HO)

• Two version of a particular record could be compared and system would highlight the changes

• Export is also possible for reference purposes

Menu Bifurcation for Viewing Legacy Data and New Data:

• Audit tracked data prior to this version update can still be reviewed using the existing menu: "Audit Trail --> Export Audit Data (Legacy)" which was named as “Export” prior to the release.

• All new tracking can be viewed from the new menu: "Audit Trail --> View Audit Data (New)."

Deletion of Audit log is restricted:

• We have removed the Purge menu from the Audit trail so as to comply with the auditor’s and entity’s requirement.

These enhancements to the Audit Trail feature in Ginesys ERP provide more precise and comprehensive tracking for your organization's records.
