"Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component. {98CB24AB-52FB-DB5F-A01F-C3B8B9A1E18E}. HRESULT: 0x800736FD."--Error While trying to install CRRuntime Report Engine.

SYMPTOMS


In POS server system , some times we are unable to install CR Report 13.0.20 x64 or x86 version, an Error appears on screen as follows.

CAUSE


ArcGIS 9.3. Component of SAP CRRuntime Report Engine is responsible for this error. This component limits the space of registry during Installation.

RESOLUTION


This article is intended for advanced users, administrators, and IT Professionals. Ginesys users are advised to take help of respective IT person / team.

The mentioned steps in this article ask you to modify the Windows Registry. However, making an improper change in registry results in a serious problem like Operating System crash . Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Following steps guide you to backup the registry section you will be making change in.

  1. Open Registry editor. (Run the command ‘regedit’ from Run command)

  2. In Registry Editor, locate and click the registry key or subkey where the change will be made as mentioned in the following guide.

  3. Click File > Export.

  4. In the Export Registry File dialog box, select the location to which you want to save the backup copy, and then type a name for the backup file in the File name field.

  5. Click Save.

Open your registry editor,

  1. Open Registry editor. (Run the command ‘regedit’ from Run command)

  2. In left side pane browse browse through the Registry path : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control.

  3. In left pane while selecting the key Control, at the right side panel look for a value name RegistrySizeLimit(Type: REG_DWORD).

  4. Ensure that the value data is set as FFFFFFFF. If the data is found to be different, modify it to FFFFFFFF

  5. In any case, the value name RegistrySizeLimit is not seen under Control key, create the same.

    1. In left pane, right click on the key Control.

    2. In the right click context menu go to New > DWORD (32-bit) Value

    3. In right pane an entry comes up. name the entry as RegistrySizeLimit

    4. Double click to open the value.

    5. In Value Data field mention FFFFFFFF

    6. OK to close the edit window.

  6. Restart System to take effect the modification.
